Anise is a galloping Thoroughbred mare inspired by my favorite discipline eventing...which is actually three disciplines rolled into one. While eventing horses are chosen for their talent and bravery and not their looks or pedigree, the horse that is held on high as the ruler of the field is the Thoroughbred. I wanted to capture the sheer athleticism of the breed, but not in the overly lean racing build we usually see them. I wanted something that had been bulked up and had a top line developed for the dressage and jump work. 

Anise has two versions. One version sports a loose, pulled mane and tail (galloping day on xc!) and the other sports a sleek button-braided look (dressage/show jump time!) and a ear cocked back. She has two bases for each version. A display ready plinth style (which takes up a lot of shelf space, and a smaller more portable and performance friendly one for your show setups. 

The loose mane version was produced in three scales: Traditional, venti, and micro. Only the traditional came with the extra plinth base. The venti version was released as the judges' model, painted fund raiser, and overall division champ/res. champ prizes for The Jennifer Show 2019. The traditional and venti versions were solid-cast resin with steel wire reinforced legs and tail produced in house. The braided version was only released in traditional scale and was hollow cast resin with steel wire leg an tail reinforcement by Jolt Studios.  Both traditional versions were sold via lottery and limited to 40 unpainted pieces each. A loose-maned micro version was released in both pewter (produced by Metal Oak Casting Studios) and 3D printed resin (produced in house).
