Meet the Artist

I was born in 1981 in Daytona Beach, FL. Ever since I can remember I've always loved horses. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of times with friends and our horses at the places I borded. I was lucky to be able to grow up completely immersed in these wonderful animals, and I'll always thank my parents for indulging me as a girl.

Art is something that has always come naturally to me, even as a child. I think it's in my gene pool. My mother is a genious with color, and my dad is the one with the drawing talent and ability to "see" things. I believe I got the best of both worlds! As with the horses, my parents indulged me and helped me grow as an artist by teaching me what they could and supporting me in all my artistic endeavors.

As well as being a doer (my hands haved to be working on something or I go crazy), I've never been one to be content with what I know now. I like to dip my toes into a little bit of everything. I've got as many "how to" books in my library as story books! I love creating things and challenging myself. I feel most complete when I'm doing both.

I am a homebody, and have never been one to prefer going out to staying in. I enjoy living on our little bit of acreage in the foothills of Colorado where we breed foundation Morgan sporthorses. My husband is "Mr. Social," and I know he wishes I was a little less hermit-like some days. :) But I'm living the dream with our house that I'm working on making our home (it's always got some project in the works), cuddling with my Saint Bernards, and being around my real horses. I currently do all sorts of work (I am a gal of many "caps" so to speak) for the family's company JETTECH full time, but it's nice to come home to the hubs and the animals and relax with some artwork in hand. Life is good.
